That is the best place to tap Into the hydraulics. Put to 90s on the steel line Run one end to the valve return the oil back to the other one. Good luck. Lance

Just for clarity, you do not tap into the larger line, that is the suction line, you will just break the smaller line.

Also because your using a valve ahead of the factory relief valve you need a function valve with a relief valve in it, or you can blow the seals out of the pump.

If you are tapping the high pressure line directly from the pump, ensure your valve block has a pressure relief valve built in and ideally line to tank, otherwise you may deadhead your pump.

Thank you for your fast replies. Looks Like I have 2 options
1: break the pressure line, run a hose to the new control valve (with pressure relief) then out of the new control valve back to the original connection point.
So basically putting the new control in series with the original system. (this seems the neatest and easiest and what I'd prefer)
2: break the pressure line with a "T" leaving the original line connected and branching off to the new controller and dumping the output of the new controller back into the reservoir(So happens I have a spare plug into the reservoir doing nothing).

Am I understanding this correctly?

Hello
#1 will work. #2 with T not work. With a T the oil will always take the path of least resistance.
Good Luck Lance

Only option 1 will work, you never want to tee a kubota system it won't work as it's an open system and you won't get pressure for the valve to work. ;)

EDIT: 007 beat me to it: :)

That's a nice looking unit. But is it a snowblower or tiller ? Or something else ?

Yes a Flail mower that swings out to the right beyond the tractor. The head also lowers down to 60 degrees for mowing road side banks and can be swung up to 90 degrees to allow trimming or hedges etc.

This type of flail is on my short list. What brand is it?
