M125X PTO won't shut off

Have an M125X with ~3500 hours, most of which running a feed wagon.

The PTO won't shut off, but spins at a moderate speed. Even when disengaged, it has enough torque to run the feed wagon when it's empty, but not enough to turn the wagon when it's full.

First place I'm going to look is at the PTO clutch valve.

Any ideas?

If you use the ole "search" tool you may find the answer. Someone started a similar thread and got a satisfactory answer just a couple of days ago.

ChubbyLumpkin,
Your right it's nothing like any other tractor models!
#1 do you have the service manual for your tractor?
If you don't I would suggest getting one, there is Zero mechanical on your PTO controls, it's all Electrical, Electronic with a little hydraulic thrown in for good measure.

Most likely it will be the actual solenoid valve that is stuck in the open position.
I'm not sure how hard it will be to get to the valve, it's right behind the 2 Hydraulic pumps.
Hopefully they left a hatch in the floor to get to it.
It looks like a simple single wire connection to control a solenoid to stop or start the flow of hydraulic fluid to lock in the hydraulic clutch for the PTO.
I would start by pulling the activation switch and see if the PTO stops with it removed, If it does then you know you have a bad switch and not the solenoid!

Good advice on the service manual- we run a few of the 125s so probably time we got one.

I'll pull the switch today and see where we're at- from the parts diagrams alone it looks like the hydraulic clutch valve, presumably where the solenoid is, might be a little tough to get to.

Thanks for the help and I'll update if I get anything figured out!

Yep on top of the transmission right behind the 2 hydraulic pumps.

This may not apply to a M125, do they have a pto brake? My M9000 has one. The pto does not turn any until it's engaged.

It can be a real PIA to hook up some implements. Have to turn the implement driveline to line it up instead of just turning the shaft on the tractor.
