correct, if OP tractor between stage 1 and 2-2 you can force it to do a regen

If below stage 1 then it should be automatic.
It's not a "forced" regen, it's a parked regen. You're not forcing the tractor to do anything. Also, an "auto regen" is possible at PM warning level 1, 2-1 and 2-2 if the DPF INHIBIT button on the dash is off. If the DPF INHIBIT button on the dash is illuminated (on) you're overriding auto regen and you might get a parked regen warning light come on in the cluster to tell you that you need to do a parked regen. You can not use the tractor during a parked regen the way you can during an auto regen.

I think the lack of understanding of the DPF system is the biggest problem with the DPF system.

Definitely by far the largest problem.
The only way to perform a "Forced Manual ReGeneration" is by using the KOBD Ace Kubota electronic service tool. You can have a dealer perform it, or if you or a friend owns a KOBD Ace Kubota electronic service tool.

Whelp I guess I’ve had it since 2020 and emissions warranty is gone. But the powertrain is still there so I’ve reached out to Kabota. They want me to take it to the dealer for possible Goodwill repair.
I would suggest you take it to a KUBOTA dealer.
If you take it to a KABOTA dealer who knows what they would do with it.
