So I pulled the trigger on the lx2620, delivery is supposed to be 7/29. I got the cab with hst and was wondering how much better is the whine from the 2610? My first post , in the past I had a b2150 and an l35, the l35 now needs a need motor (over 4k hours) so traded it in on the 2620. I am hoping some drop in the whine but couldn’t find a comparison between the 2 models.
This model with options has the fel, cab, hoe , 3 function and box blade 1660 and wheel spacers. Got good value on the l35 so made the deal just waiting or rather impatiently awaiting arrival, just my thoughts.

I can’t comment 100 percent correctly, but I had the lx3310, now I have the lx3520 the engine sound is there but no loud transmission whine. I’m not sure but I know the 2620 doesn’t share the exact transmission or case as the 35-40 but they say the 26 should be similar in sound decibels in comparison. Hope this sorta answers your question

I always wear hearing protection when operating my tractor. Usually ear plugs AND my shooting ear muffs. My doctor neighbor counseled me on hearing loss . Its cumulative and irreversible. I took her advice.

Thank you all for the responses , I was mostly referring to the differences of the lx2610 vs lx2620 and Jw as looking for someone who had or drove the two or like models to speak on the noise levels

The cab amplifies the HST sound on my LX2610 and if I had known the LX2620 was coming out, I would have likely waited for it. To hear the radio I have to have the volume turned up. I might start to wear hearing protection as well.

Right exactly that’s what I was wondering as gpoutdoors videos show the hst is a bit loud but he has the 2610 didn’t know how loud the 2620 is so

How about when using the cruise control? Does that still amplify the whine on the new model?

I agree with you prob

no it really is a significant difference in my opinion. It still may be loud in comparison with other manufacturers but when compared to the 10 series way better. Hst is a lot smoother actually that is my favourite part, no sudden jerks when trying to do slow movements I know a lot of ppl complain about that.

N.Y,
From what I was told when looking at the LX 2620 cab it has the same transmission as he 2610 with some internal changes to make it quieter. I didn't really feel comfortable in the cab with the big rocker pedal and walked away without driving it because I thought it was going to be the new wider wheelbase heavier transmission and front end with the wider loader from the videos I saw. The 35 and 40 20 series are the new wider design with a higher top speed. Drive one is the best way to find out because every dealer now seems to have one on the lot.

I thought only the 35 and 40 horse models got the improved transmission? I think the 26 is unchanged from the 10 series?

No the lx2620 is quieter then the 2610. They reworked some things inside transmission , not night and day but would say 30 percent quieter, they had a used 2610 I wanted to get a video on comparing but they got rid of it when I picked up my 2620.

Oh nice! Maybe I should go try a new LX2620. I'd be interested if it didn't have that horrible whine the older series had. I couldn't stand listening to that all day in a cab.
I don't want to buy anything new over 26 horse. I'm not doing the regen thing ever again. I got my 67 Ford diesel to do all my big work.
