Tractor only has 18 hrs on it and I noticed the filler cap for the hydraulic oil was missing.. I know I can contact the dealer for one but has anyone else experienced this same problem?

I have a LX2610 non-SU but no problem here. Was it there when it was delivered?

yes it was on when delivered and I had added some hydraulic oil. I put it back in place. I was tilling some ground the other day so it could have been lost then. I believe this is going to be a problem for all LX2610 owners at some point. Looked all over net and finally found a part number. For anyone interested it is

Thanks for the heads up, I will certainly keep an eye on it. I removed mine to add some hydraulic fluid after I installed my third function kit. I've just done some snow plowing since then though. Could the vent be clogged by any chance and the cap popped off due to pressure buildup?

This fill plug has been used for years on tens of thousands of units. One new owner added hyd oil, fails to install the plug correctly, and believes it's going to be a problem for all LX2610 owners?????:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Stop with your child-like name-calling and let's stick to the FACTS. You stated,
"I believe this is going to be a problem for all LX2610 owners at some point. " That same plug, the same part number has been used for many, many years, on several models and has not been a problem. I find it quite humorous that suddenly it is going to be a problem for all LX2610 owners.

Hello Carheir, this seems to be a good time to quote "Goodfellas"

It was replaced all the way down, what else do I need say, are you a bonefied asshole or just working on your papers.
Absolutely no need to be calling anyone on here an “bonefied asshole”. This is a great family friendly site and if you don’t like someone’s answer, that’s fine but be polite about it. Fact of the matter, Whitetiger, knows a lot about these tractors because he works on them for years.

I have a B2650 (same old model) no issues with the cap. Is it possible it was overfilled?

BTW - It may actually be ok for him to call names on here, we don't know his political affiliation yet.

Some are allowed some are definitely not allowed to.

FYI - it IS ok to call me names on here - lol.

Carheir,

I have a B2650 which is pretty much the same tractor, and have not had a problem with the fill cap. Could it be a defective cap? Certainly could be. Could there be a bad run of that part and it will be a problem for others as time goes by? Certainly could be. Maybe not likely, but possible. If it pops off again, you will have a good indication of the problem.

In the meantime, let's see if any others report a similar issue, and you can go from there.

For your own information, I have gotten "jabbed" once or twice by what I thought were curt answers. Some of the really knowledgeable members can be that way sometimes. I guess that the best policy for this forum is to not say anything you wouldn't say if your wife and kids were listening.

Good luck to you with your Kubota. I am sure this small problem will be resolved, and you will really enjoy your "Orange Beast".

Fwiw, I think if someone posts an unhelpful comment that’s supposed to be humorous about someone else’s post, they probably can take a similarly unhelpful comment back at them. ;)
