Thank you all.
At the time this happened, we never even set eyes on the machine for quite a while.
I never put 2 and 2 together until I noticed we had gone from 40 hours to about 90 hours.
Last I looked we had 40 hours and had a little mowing to do.
I mowed for about an hour and finally looked at the hours and it said about 90.
I don't know what comes on the key on. Must not be much more than the hour meter.
The hour meter and fuel solenoid, dash electronics, engine sensors.
Prob a few more i missed off the top of my head.
My suggestion on how to proceed?
Do your 50-hour scheduled service now.
When it rolls around to 200 hours on the gauge, do the 200 hour scheduled service anyway, which will be about 50 hours ahead of actual engine hours, but it sure won't hurt the machine!
That parts and fluids hole in your wallet comes a bit sooner, just once.
And you can enjoy your great machine without having to always second-guess the hours meter reading vs the service schedule.
