LX2610 Hazards

For those with an LX2610 (or B2650 or LX2620), when you turn on the hazards, do both your tail lights and lollipop lights flash? Both of mine flash and I'm wondering if that is correct. If not, any ideas on how to fix this so only the lollipop lights flash?

Don't necessarily need to, but I would prefer that they remained solid. In the winter I plow my driveway where there is a 55mph country road at the end of. I always use both the hazards and the beacon that I added when working at night, but I am all about being as visable as possible after dark when plowing snow.

It’s very easy to make the tail lights stop flashing…but you may not be happy with that result.

I have sort of same line of questions as @North Idaho Wolfman .

I think if want more visibility to others, I would question if you have already added light bars on rops (FWD and RVS)….if you have a high output lightbar people that arent texting will see you. Below is before and after…most people will see that and slow down and proceed cautiously, at least where I live they will/do…they may even waive with just one finger to let you know your the best.

Anyway if not worried about the flashers maybe consider to add some more light front and back. Personally I would leave the flashers alone so you have that extra visibility in the daytime.YMMV.

I would consult your owners manual. It should state what flashes when the flashers are activated.

Well after a complete perusing of the WSM for the LX2610 and the flasher circuit, along with all the supporting circuits.
STAY AWAY from altering anything!
That sucker has every single lighting circuit tied into the ECU and THE OPC computers and any alteration could send you down in flames.
I am not saying this lightly, I have never seen a wiring diagram that was this involved with the lighting.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this and I will take your advice and leave it alone. I was aware that cars and trucks have gotten infinitely more complicated over the past few decades, but I didn't realize that compact tractors were becoming this complicated as well.

The lights on my LX2610 do the same thing. Wondered about that myself when I first bought it. Yes, the wiring on these tractors is a lot more complicated than my old B7200. Need a magnifying glass to follow the diagrams in the service manual. Easy to look at the wrong drawing as the LX3310 and LX2610 are in the same area. The LX3310 has the ECU because of the emissions. I thought the LX2610 had an ECU as well originally but was corrected here after trying to find it.
Assuming that the tractor has no brake lights I might just try to disconnect the one wire feeding the red taillight and see what happens. If I remember correctly, the turn signals use the amber hazard lights.

My B2650 flashes both the red and amber together when the 4 ways are on.

After @North Idaho Wolfman mentioned the WSM and how complicated the tail light wiring was, I took a look and soon became more confused than I was initially and decided to take his advice and give up.

Thanks! I actually reached out to Gordon as I thought I saw that only his lollipop lights were flashing in another video, but he also confirmed that both the lollipop lights and the tail lights flash when the hazards are on.

For anyone who may be reading this in the future, there is a very easy fix. If you turn on your headlights, the taillights remain on when you activate the hazards.

My tail lights still blink with the headlights on. I really don't have an issue with it being that way, I figure it is more to catch someone's eye when they see me near the road.

Yes, mine will keep the standard tail lights on, but there is a higher output that still flashes with the hazards.

Where is the flasher on the B2650. I don’t have a WSM. And I didn’t see anything in the owner’s manual

If you do not like the taillights flashing when the hazards are on just disconnect or cut the wire going to the bulb socket that supplies that part of the filament in the bulb. These are still the older bulbs like an 1157. Hopefully the flashing speed stays the same. I wish the lamps on my vehicles still used the 1157 bulb. $1.00 to replace if it burned out. Now you have to remortgage your house if a taillight or headlight stops operating.

I am good with the headlights on option. Typically, I only use the aux lights, beacon and hazards, but I will also use the headlights going forward.
