Hi folks,

My front loader stops at certain points when moving up. I have no idea what is causing it. It’s fully greased and not carrying anything. I can lower the loader a little then try again, and it usually works the second try.

It will stop at a few feet off the ground. Then again at about 5 feet. It doesn’t happen every time, but is happening about 25% of the time I raise and lower the loader.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

Disconnect and reconnect the Quick couplers on the hydraulics and see what that does for you.

I recall seeing a video with someone experiencing issues with their loader, maybe there's something in the threads that can help:

Thanks for the replies. I’m going to disconnect and reconnect the hoses. That YouTube video is interesting. Specifically the comments in the responses that say the person may accidentally activating the 3rd function hydraulics while raising the loader. It’s possible this could be happening to me. Next time it happens I will make sure!

Yup! That was definitely it. I was hitting the 3rd function and not feeling it because I had gloves on. Hasn't happened since I've been paying more attention. Thanks again all.

A disable switch in the power supply feed to the joystick will fix that.

I was doing that when I first got my LX2610. The dealer had installed the buttons for the 3rd function facing out and I had a hard time holding the lever without pressing one of the buttons. I rotated the switches 180 so they are facing in towards the operator and the problem went away.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm going to try to rotate the 3rd function switches first. If that doesn't help, then I'll add a disable switch.

I don't know why the dealership had positioned my 3rd function the way they did, but is was rotated clockwise way to much, it was uncomfortable to use, first thing I did was to rotate it to the left.

My cab model has a lighted push button switch below the third function buttons that I understand is for turning off the third function control. I have not used it yet so could be wrong. Probably describes it in the instructions that I have not fully read yet.
