I have a new lx 2610 with a BH 77. The dipper speed seems slower than normal. It takes about 10 seconds to extend out. I found a spec sheet that shows on a l2501 the same BH77 should take 4.9 seconds. I had a b2601 with a hoe and I don't remember it being this slow. The other BH motions seem normal and the loader is fast. Any thoughts or simple adjustments before I contact the dealer? I tried to post a video but it says the site doesn't support mp4 videos which apparently what my phone uses. Thanks

I know nothing about posting photos here, but I believe that you must have a minimum of 5 posts, before photos are permitted.

I usually run at about 2200 rpms when using the hoe. The manual recommends to operate anywhere from 3/4 to full throttle.
if someone else has this same setup maybe they would be willing to check the time it takes to extend the dipper all the way out.

Its a simple calculation.

Looks like MAX implement flow on your tractor is 5 GPM which is kinda skimpy. What's the diameter and stroke of the cylinders?

If you are extending more than one cylinder at a time the flows are additive and things will slow down.

I looked at Kubota's specifications for the BH72. Couple comments:
  1. They give sepsrate extend and retract times for boom, dipperstick, and bucket cylinders. Those times are additive so if you are simultaneously extending boom and dipperstick while opening bucket add those three numbers together.
  2. The cycle times do not specify a flow rate. That hoe is used on different model tractors with different flow rates. Your tractor is 5 GPM and an L3901 is 7 GPM so the cyvle times will not be the same on both tractors.

Be sure to look at the heim joints first. I'm betting that one of the nuts are loose or the rods are out of position/alignment. I had a similar issue early on with mine. Just pull the cover off and look at the control valve linkages for that function.

Sorry for the delayed update but I just got my tractor back from the dealer and the problem seems to have been resolved. I had an small oil leak from the back hoe valve body and the dealer picked the tractor up. The told me there was an issue with one of the internal o-rings that caused the leak and repairing it seems to have fixed the slow movement of the dipper extend function also. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I have only used my bh77 once this last summer to make sure it worked before the one year warranty ran out. I dug out a stump. In my opinion it is very endemic as compared to the Woods bh650 that I had on the b7200. With the bh650 I was able to operate at 8 to 10 gpm since the b7200 had a two speed pto allowing me to operate the hoes 6 gpm pump considerably faster than 540 rpm. My plan is to use the 11 gpm pump that I have for my splitter and use it for the hoe instead of the power beyond. Just have to figure out where I can put the reservoir etc. Under the seat seems to be the only spot available but just concerned that I might barbeque my backside.
