Is using Kubota grease the best overall or is there a cheaper product.
"Best" is a pretty hard thing to quantify. There are certainly cheaper alternatives, but they might come with tradeoffs.

Is this your only machine that needs greasing? If you are only greasing this one and you don't put a lot of hours on it, that one tube of grease may last you a few years and the few dollars difference won't matter. If you had lots of implements that were getting greased regularly and you put several hundred hours on your machine a year, you could possibly do better buying grease in bulk elsewhere.

As long as you do it regularly, any grease is good. Some are as passionate about grease as they are about oil! :p

FWIW Lucas R&T for me

I like Amsoil heavy duty it stays in place well and I can pick it up local, I use about 6 tubes a year so not a lot and it runs be $9.00 a tube. It for sure is not the only good grease but it is my choice.

I like polyurea grease no matter who makes it. I use Lucas green because it’s carried everywhere and I don’t have to travel to the Kubota dealer to buy their flavor of polyurea. Since I only use 3-4 tubes a year, I don’t mind paying $2 more per tube since it’s a good product that doesn’t wash out easily. If I was buying cases each year to service a yard full of equipment, $2/tube would be a significant cost factor, but that’s not the case for me and most people on this site.

I like orange and spicey because its high in habanero but you have to pair that with an engine oil containing at least 1400 PPM Nexium.
