I have a Kubota R520s Loader. I was on it yesterday and as I was going to scoop a load it made a funny sound and I lost all hydraulics. It is a Hydrostatic transmissio, so I pretty much lost all use of the tractor. The motor cranks up and runs great, just no hydraulics. As I was trying to look around I noticed 1 of the 2 bolts that attaches the Hydraulic pump to the motor had completely backed out and I reached up and pulled it off. There is not a pile of fluid below and my sight gauge reads fine. I added about a gallon of Kubota UDT hydraulic fluid. The LST warning light is still on after adding fluid. I am hoping that when I put the bolt back in and tighten everything it will work as it should. I am not sure if being loose would have affected any gears in there or not.

I assume that it's a gear driven pump, so the gears probably ceased to be engaged when the pump moved.

thats what I am hoping, once it started making a slight knocking or grinding sound I identified where it was coming from then shut it off. Ill let you know what happens when I secure everything.

You may wish to determine if the low oil pressure light was for the hydraulics or the engine oil pressure. If it was the engine oil pressure you definitely do NOT want to run the engine until you know what's going on.
