Hello from NE ohio. 1st post.

Last fall a family friend sold me a bx2200. I took the mower deck and loader off to use the snowblower. Now i am trying to re-install the mower deck but the arms won't go nearly low enough to reach the deck. The 3pt hitch is raising and lowering just fine i just can't seem to figure out why the arms that connect to the mower deck won't lower. They move just a little bit when operating the 3pt hitch. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I found threads about raising the 3pt all the way up then turning the deck height adj knob. So I raised the 3pt all the way up, twisted the deck height adjustment knob to 0. Then i adjusted the 3pt speed knob to about the middle and still no luck. Do i need to have the MMM attached to the arms so that the weight pulls them down? It kind of feels like the arms are binding or something. I feel like i am missing something really simple because it worked perfectly in the fall before i took the MMM off.

Your BX has a quarter inching valve rather than position control. Are you aware of this and how it functions? If not, read the owner's manual.

give the lift arms a pull. If your deck height is set to zero, they should drop far enough.

Mine used to do that sometimes...just give the lift arms a yank.

edit, I just saw that you were opening the valve (3 pt control) only half way open. I think you'll need to open that valve up more. Otherwise you'll need to pull really hard on the mower deck lift arms.

No, you do not need weight on the arms for them to lower. Just a guess maybe your deck height adjustment knob is a little out of alignment and though it reads 0 maybe you are really set to top. Try raising it all the way up again and set it to something like 1" and see if they lower then.

Set height to zero, hold down the lowering lever, and smack the mower deck arms they will free fall down all the way. They get stuck sometimes and get hung up.

Yep you guys were right they were just stuck. A few seconds of aggressive pulling up and down on them and boom they fell down to hook up height. Thanks for the help.

Hi there maybe trie pushing down by hand on your three pt hitch arms.Sounds like your linkage is not going low enough.I had same problem, was good after I set my height adjustment to lowest level.I wish you good luck.
