Did you buy this tractor from 'Bizarro World' ?
Lets see.....
ROPS on backwards,
Temp gauge cold when engine is hot,
Radiator fan blowing air the opposite way!!!
Sell it back to Jerry Seinfeld!!
Ok, lets see, ROPS folding forwards, Ill give you that, no biggy, like you said though, it at least looks solid enough for the job which yours doesnt :)
Temp gauge is now fixed and working a treat. :)
Ive discovered that the radiator fan is supposed to blow forwards on the L1's so no issue........
So, 1 out of 3 aint too bad :p

Oh, and you forgot to mention the seat that broke, that Ive fixed but they also sent me a new one as a spare :)

So after repairing the under reading temp gauge and needle that I broke (you can just make out the break and repair if you look close)
Using my laser thermometer measured at the rear of the head at the temp sender unit.

Needle lifts off stop at 45 C (113 F)

After a quick 10 minute drive around, 75 C (167 F)

And after 3.5 hours of hard work and FEL work, it sits at 80 C (176 F), ambient 30 C (86 F)

Im pretty happy with that result, thanks for all the help Sean :D
Much appreciated.
Cheers
Marc

Good to see you've got it figured out. Have fun with it now.

By the way, my BX2230's fan blows from back to front also. I don't know about other models though. That makes it nice when using it in the hot summer months, but it would be nice if it would blow towards me on the cold winter days I'm using it.

Excellent to hear it's all coming together.
I try and give good advice and when I've done the repairs myself it makes it way easier to predict the outcome.

The 3800s blows back, but you sure wouldn't know it on the cold days!
