Ok guys, my wife has had the camper bug for a while now. We found one we really like. Probably gonna be taking delivery of it Friday or Saturday.
The camper happens to be 31 feet long. We had our 16ft trailer out Saturday night to help our sons girlfriend move. When pulling in the driveway, I happened to realize "that little bell rung" that we don't have the clearance to make it in the yard with even a 25ft trailer. with out dropping one side into the ditch. It's mainly the issue of living on a narrow road. It wouldn't be too much of an issue if we still had the old truck. But the new one is longer, with the turning radius of a school bus.
I'm looking for a fast cheap option to be able to get the camper in and out of the yard safely. I already know I need to move the mail box.
Here's what I'm working with. Current width is 20ft. I have an 75ft oak blocking me from being able to swing onto the lawn to complete the turn. Road is a dead end with no turn around big enough to turn the camper around to come in from the other way. Backing in is even tighter. Plus camper is gonna be stored out back. And trying to back an 8 ft wide camper through a 9.5ft gate opening would be a little rough
Here's picks of the end of the drive.
