Ok fellas ,I’ve got a kubota 3830 gst 2wd ...while turning under some corn with a 5’ tiller I began to hear a loud banging slapping noise from below my seat/feet area just behind engine ,took it back to shed ,got underneath and had helper engage and disengage pto etc and it is definitely coming from tractor,,,Trans area ,where the front 2 hyd fluid plugs are ...that area ......say middle of the tractor ..... I don’t use the pto that much ..mostly use the front end loader ..any ideas? Roughly 700 hrs on her ...thanks guys !

Sounds like the clutch may be coming apart?

Is there any inspection cover or throw out bearing carrier grease access cover that you can see inside the area through?

About the only thing I can tell you is, you'll have to split it, and get into it to find out what you broke. :(

The tractor runs and moves fine with no noise its just when the pto is engaged with the tiller attached .Its never done it before .i think there is a cover that can be removed where one of the drain plugs for the hydraulics .

Anyone know if this pro has its own clutch??

No it does not ....it goes away .....
Then try another pto driven implement even if you have to borrow one.

Sound can be transmitted through pto shafts. Make certain you really have a problem with your tractor and not the tiller.

Drain the transmission fluid. If something is broken there will be metal flakes in the oil.

Yes the PTO has it's own clutch pack.

I don't think it's that hard to split them. ;)
