Hey guys I could use a little help. I am looking at a 1999 B2400HST 4x4 with what I think might be some issues. First there is a small oil leak comming from the center of the tractor. Next if I shake the tractor side to side there is a lot of play in the rear wheels. Finally I am confused as to how the pto levers actually work. If I engage the low speed the rear pto spins, if I engage the high speed the rear does not spin but the the mid does. Is this the way it is supposed to work. The rear only works on low? Thanks

Some leaks are minor, can be located and tightened/repaired quickly...others are major and costlt! Loose wheels can be loose lug nuts/bolts and elongated holes in the wheels...maybe just tighten or new wheels! Also could be loose wedges on the axle behind the wheels...maybe clean wedges, lubricate with grease and tighten/Torque. PTO sounds right to me, lever fwd runs belly mower at high speed (950 i think??), lever aft runs bush hog at low speed (540). No need to run both PTO at the same time. I also have a Simplicity Legacy diesel and it has a nice picture placard on the fender that explains PTO positions/functions. Maybe Kubota could pickup on this idea.
