Having just bought a block of land I'm in the market for a tractor. There is a L295DT for sale with 2900 hours, is that high for this model? Also what problems should I be aware of with this age tractor. It doesn't have a loader.

Not that bad of hours for that model.
Nothing to really worry about with it, all around a good model and parts are still easy enough to get.

As with everyone else you'll probably regret not having a loader on your tractor. And finding a quality used loader are hard to come by.

My advise is hold off until you can find something with a loader on it.

If the price is right on the L295 and you have a little extra coin in your pocket an after market loader can be bought new. Looking in the neighborhood of $3000-$4500

Eric, do you even know you already gave the OP your opinion two days ago?
"My advise is hold off until you can find something with a loader on it."

Is that your final answer?
