looking for some help, trying to find a bucket for my BH70 backhoe. I'm looking for a bucket without teeth, similar to a mud bucket but with a similar width of my current bucket. Any advice as to who would sell something like that?

I don't know the size of your current bucket, but BXExpanded offers dirt buck and you can remove the teeth. Looks like the smallest they have 16"

I'm assuming that your BH70 is similar in size to the backhoe on my BX25D. (Anybody chime in if you know for sure!

I needed a different width bucket for it (narrower) and the cheapest one I could find was a bunch of money ($600 or so, IIRC). I asked around on several forums, and what I ended up with was a bucket made for DRPower's towable backhoe. It cost me under $200, but I had to buy some pins for it, so call it under $250.

I see that DRPower doesn't sell that backhoe anymore, but they sell a 9" bucket for it. (Probably leftovers.)

Northern Tool sells a backhoe like it. But I see they only sell a 9" bucket for it. (Bottom of the page.)

Harbor Fright sells a similar trencher, and they sell a 13" bucket for it.

Anyway, my point is, there may be buckets for other machinery that you can use, maybe with a bit of adapting required. Might be worth checking out.

EDIT TO ADD: I just spotted this one from a company I don't know. There's a nice smooth bucket there. If you can confirm the hole spacing and pin diameter, you might be in business.

A BH70 is larger than than BX hoes by a good margin so the alternate buckets won't be the same. Good idea to look at other sources though. Getting the pin geometry to match will probably be the biggest issue.

Also, lots of metal fab shops are in the business of making or repairing buckets for skidsteers and backhoes. If you have such nearby, you might see if one can make up something that works at a fair price.

Thanks, I now have a good idea of where to look. You would think Kubota would sell a finishing bucket

They do sell 3 that I'm aware of...just checked.
You simply do NOT install the OPTIONAL 3 teeth

Just buy a bucket....

Also, look on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. I found a new never-used trenching bucket for my BX for $100 last fall. I didn't have a use for it, but couldn't pass it up at that price. I have found a lot of tractor items on Marketplace, sometimes reasonable and other times not.
