Is Butch still around? One of the smart ones on the forum :)

Loader control valve missing bearing balls :-(

I knew the balls might go flying and still managed to get them out hand! Dumb, I know.

Husco rep: "proprietary". Would not tell me the size of the ball bearings. So helpful!

4 smaller balls seems to be 0.216 (7/32), but lost the two bigger ones.
Can one use a 0.3125 (5/16) ball bearing at the end of the spring?
Too big or too small?
Sincerely
Kriegler

Wonderful.
Butch you happen to know the size of the single ball sitting on top of the spring?
Thanks
Kriegler
Creston... I will have to check. There is a good shot I may even have one laying around... I know I have 2 complete valves in the shop and some Misc. Parts for the detent.

Butch thanks for your replies.
Keep me posted on what you find in your shop please.
I cleaned up the parts I had, drilled lubrication and drainage holes, used a 5/16 ball bearing on the spring.
The valve is working, but still catching a bit. Definitely not baby bottom smooth. Likely the pitting (rust) in the end cap.
