I have started looking for a grapple and was wondering if anyone here has a 60" Homestead root grapple Pinnacle series?

I have seen one YouTube video where the guy bent the lid of the grapple. I think we was using it the wrong way, but would like to know what others think of the grapple.

Right now they are showing 8 to 10 weeks for shipping.

Misuse of just about any piece of equipment can cause the piece to fail.

I know if you watch various YouTube channels out there you will see various models being used with Homestead being one of the new comers with positive reviews. As Matt pointed out, I too am an EA Wicked fan.

Yet, almost any grapple on the market is better than no grapple at all.

Another EA Wicked(er) 55 owner...EA support is the best there is. It's worth paying a little more and waiting a little longer for...

Following. :) Teetering between EA and Titan. Local 'Bota dealer said they didn't know when Land Pride would be available so I bought my tractor without one.

You would be pleased by any well made in the USA grapple on your tractor; I would choose based on availability/dealer service. Your compact tractor is not a track loader - if you are damaging a well made grapple you are also damaging your FEL and hydraulic system.

Lots of good USA manufacturers to choose from.

I have a 55" pinnacle root grapple I've used quite a bit over the ~5 months I've had it now. Been really happy with it, and appreciate that it stands upright on its own.

I've not tried pushing over or prying up any trees so can't speak to the situation where the fellow bent his grapple, but I have lifted plenty of hardwood logs, dug half a hickory tree (+ root ball) out of the ground (was knocked over and forestry mulched length-wise..the other half was pushed into the ground and buried flush) to haul to the burn pile, etc.

I've no experience with the EA grapple..obviously folks here are happy with them, but I'd not hesitate to recommend the Homestead based on my experience to date.

I saw the video you are referring to where the operator damaged his pinnacle grapple - definitely his fault IMO. He was using the lid to push over multiple trees then was surprised when he bent it. Homestead offered a solution but he wasn't happy with their offer - if I remember correctly he was expecting a new lid at no cost to him.

On another note I read a post of a gentleman who had a failure to the lid of his EA Wicked 55". He contacted Travis from EA who sent him a new lid and all he had to pay was the shipping I believe.

OP, if you want to get past the EA fanboys 🥴 search on Pinnacle or Homestead. There has been some discussion fairly recently.
It is not about a put down of being an "EA fanboy", it is simply about recognizing very high quality products!

Another vote for EA Wicked 55" I have it on my L3901 and it is on the tractor more than the bucket.

Pay close attention to the weight. Our loaders are limited and every pound on the grapple is one less you can lift. I have an ea that weighs 400 lbs and there have been times I have tried to lift logs but stalled out the hydraulics. Brush has been no problem

I was trying to assist OP with his original question, with just a playful tweak of the EA faithful.

It's always nice when someone actually answers the question that was asked. Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, it does. ;)

I have a landpride grapple, it is on the tractor the most. I did not buy mine with the tractor, but such a happy day when I received it.

I have the 55" Pinnacle from Homestead. I absolutely love it. Very well built. It did take me 15 weeks to get it, but that was last year. I also have the 72" Pinnacle box blade, equally as well made. I have seen that youtube video, and I agree it was abuse. Good Luck with whatever you end up with! Oh, Homestead also offers a 10% military discount.

I very much do like that Homestead advertises "free delivery to your barn door"!

I very much dislike that EA rather deceptively advertises "free shipping",..... but only free to some point other than your home location.

I am guessing you have the Wicked 60? EA recommended the 55" to me for my L3901 when I purchased it because of the fact it is 160lbs~ less than the 60"
