Bought cheap a B6000 with a tiller. Worried about engine.

Just bought this B6000 yesterday. It came with the tiller shown, and an additional tiller just like it for parts, as well as a front blade and an extra set of rims and AG tires.

I didn't pay much for the tractor because the owner is pretty sure it's gonna need major engine work sometime soon. It's got a very different sound to it because of the two cylinder configuration and firing order, but I think I do detect some bottom end noise. It's hard to tell. I've worked on hundreds of gas engines, but few diesels, and none with such an odd design. Oil pressure at idle is only around 20 pounds.

Question: I'd really like to be able to use this tractor this Spring and Summer without tearing it down, but I don't want to spin a bearing or damage the crank.. What should the oil pressure look like? Is there another method to determine how immediately the overhaul needs to take place?
