Very early Wednesday morning I found a Kubota Snow Blade listed on Facebook Marketplace, so I clicked on the picture and said to myself. "This will replace the one that you sold last winter thinking that you would never have another need for it." It was priced right, and the description was kind of vague but I thought I knew what I was looking at, so I contacted the "seller" who told me that she listed it for her uncle who wasn't on Facebook, and to give him a call. He told me that the price was firm and if I wanted it to show up at 4:30 yesterday afternoon. I was on time and he drove into the driveway just after I got there. Said for me to follow him down to the barn where the blade was. When I saw it that is when I realized that it was a 6' blade not a 5' like I was expecting. Since I was already there and I had committed to buying it when I spoke to him, I kept my word and paid him for it. Between the 2 of us, we struggled for a half hour to get it onto my trailer since he had sold his tractor. That is when I realized how heavy it is! 535 pounds! It is a B2673 blade with the power angle option.
Will my BX23S be able to handle it is the $64,000 question (if you are old enough to remember the reference)? My immediate use for it is to spread loam in the backyard.

Nice blade. Looks like that will be quite a challenge for a BX. Hope it does what you need it to.

gee, it'll be interesting to see IF it'll lift it....I'm thinking 'yes' not 'YES' or 'maybe'.....
for loam spreading, I filled bucket, drove to the other edge of land, feather dumped while going backwards. After 6-12 runs got good at evenly dumping 1-2".....THEN I decided to use the Millcreak spreader I'd refurbished. THAT was a lot better.

I have a bx2763 blade the 5ft size which i use for snow plowing. It did well with my bx2370. Still seemed to have plenty of power left. Nice find

That's a lot of weight out ahead of the pins.
The good thing is you don't need to lift it very high.
And you have those larger lift cylinders.
I bet you'll be ok.

Do you have a third function to move it?

I just installed the new cylinders and I have a Landpride 3rd function that I installed almost 2 years ago. When it stops raining I will get it off the trailer.

If it's too big and heavy to be useful, it's nothing a tape measure, straight edge, sharpie, and an angle grinder with a metal cutting blade or 5 can't fix.

But i think you be fine with it. But you might have to deal with a little bit of tail wagging the dog.

Nice find.

It looks to be in good shape, so worst case scenario is that you will have to go through the hassle of selling it if it does not work out.

If I were a betting man, I would say it will work though.

I bought my 60" plow to use on a B2601 from a guy that was buying a 72" to use on his BX. Seeing his steep, long and curvy driveway my thought was he did a bad thing.

I have the 2672 Blade. It’s Definitely HEAVY on the front end. Very noticable. That big blade might be pushing it, but worth a shot. Good find.

Those look like a type of bread tray dolly.
Yes they are. The photo was taken at the sellers place and he gave them to me. He works for Thomas English Muffins and has trays for each piece of equipment. I like that they are plastic and dry quickly which prevents rust.

I’m pretty certain you’ll know you’ve got over 500 lbs hanging off the front of the BX. I know I can feel it on my L.
