Have read of a few people having issues of foreign material being in fuel tank. When looking at tractor, repairman mention of someone having a half a peach in the tank. So, never knowing who or what might get in the fuel tank, is there such a item as a locking fuel cap that would fit a bx2370-1, or is the cap a universal gas cap that is 3.5" size. Also, after tilling ground noticed that zerk on side of tiller had dirt on it. Wondering if all zerks use same size of cap covers on them. Thinking of yellow or black to offset finding on points to grease.

all zerts get dirty use a wire brush to clean them before shooting grease in to them, if you cant remember where they are ( like me) do like I do and make a little drawing and stick it in the tool box..
As for fuel caps I nave never seen a locking on for the BX, that don't mean they aint out there. Half a peach means some one did that to be an azzhole and nothing else, but June bugs and plant matter will find its way in, though a screen filter in the mouth of the tank would work to keep that stuff out,,,,, Hmmmm now there's an idea

First time I seen caps on zerks was on my kids Polaris 90. I thought it was a good idea, so I found out that caps that go over wire shelving ends worked. A little long, but scissors did the trick, so I put them on my matching Polaris 500. I think the caps were black at the time, but that's was quite a few years ago. They stayed on and kept the dirt away.

They did that back in the days of the B7100, well at least mine has one, and trust me you don't want one, real PITA to fill that tractor up and not get it everywhere!a screen filter in the mouth of the tank would work to keep that stuff out,,,,, Hmmmm now there's an idea

zerk covers are available in colors from Grainger.
I got the plastic ones (red) that have the "tether" to keep track of them.
After about two years the color start to fade but not too badly.
Keeps them clean and easier to find/see and makes it easier to get grease gun onto the fitting.

My B8200 has the screen about 4" deep into the tank. I like it, but I use a nozzle and hose from a 300 gal tank.
