The specs for my 2008 L5740 say that the cab model weighs 4223 pounds but does not specify if that weight includes the LA854 loader and bucket. If it does not, does anyone know what the loader and 72" bucket weigh? I want to haul the tractor on my brother in laws trailer and it has a 6600 pound capacity. The rear tires on my tractor are loaded with 1100 pounds of beet juice and I will be taking a 750 pound box blade with.

Keep in mind (in most cases) the trailers rating doesn't include the weight of the trailer it'self.

Another words, a trailer with 2 3500# axles (7K rating) that weighs about 2000 lbs can really only haul 5K if you go by the rating. So assume the heavier trailer weight is 2500 - 3000 lbs and the tractor is around 7500 lbs. You need a trailer rated for 10K - 11K to be safely within the load limits.

Thanks for the info about weight ratings. A friend is borrowing me his goose neck equipment trailer that he hauls his 9500 pound excavator with. I have a GMC 3/4 ton pickup with a Duramax diesel to pull it. Should work out fine.
