My joystick is actually sticking. I can pull back on the joystick and nothing moves. I pull harder and harder and then it ‘breaks loose’ and bucket jumps up way too fast. It’s the same in every direction-sticks then breaks free and jumps! Absolutely NO easing into a lift or going down or curl in or out!! It seems it needs lubricating?? But how?

Sounds like you have an issue with the linkage, little tough to get to on that model.

I looked at the parts breakdown for a LA304 loader valve.
Rather than lubrication I suspect a spring pin or nut has come off.
I marked the suspects with red circles.
This is just an educated guess.
