Loader pin bores

The top pin bores in the frame of the vertical loader arm appear to be egg shaped. the horizontal loader arm in center bore is not egged. Can I cut off this bung and weld a new one on? la300 loader.
And if I can where do I go about finding one?

Measure the wall thickness all the way around the bushing to verify egg shape. Could it be the wrong pin may have been used?
Torching out a hub and replacing on a loader is a Major job. Everything has to be parallel and square. PITA.

What about having someone "line bore it" and making, or having a larger pin made?

Loader arm hole would end up too large and make that point weak!!
Could line bore a sleeve the tower, but that's pricey.

How square does it need to be to operate a handful times a season? I understand binding of pins increase friction and wear.. reduce power etc.. how many thou square would a new bore welded on to loader tower need to be ?

I need to measure my pins and find similar. Think they are 19mms havent confirmed tho.

More like hundreths. if your welding skills are up to it you can freehand it using the new pins as a jig.

I’ll add this. Where there is weld there is warp. Best practice is to weld in undersized bushings and then bore/ream to size. Also keep in mind the weld will shrink the diameter of the bushing if they are bored to the proper size before welding. IOW the pin would be riding on a narrow ring where the weld has shrunk it and not the whole bushing.
