I hope this is not a dumb question. The 3/8 hydraulic fittings shown are for a BF900 loader. Same hose just opposite sides. The hoses were made at 2 different Oreily's just days apart. I intentionally took the o ring out on left fitting to show difference. Is there a different way I should connect the fitting on the right? A larger washer on outside of them inner piping? Thread sealant? Teflon tape? Thanks for reading the post.

It looks like you were provided two different types of connections. If you still have the original hose, I would suggest you go back and make them provide a hose that is the same end as the original one.

There are many different types of connections and there are several available in the 3/8 size.

I am no expert in identifying them but one looks like it needs the o-ring to seal and the other looks like it seals on the tapered surface

Those look like female swivenls. No thread sealant.

I happen to have kept them around. I’ll check it out. I appreciate the input. I thought maybe I was looking at it wrong. Thanks.
