I have a 2001 l4610 and inside the cab, the handle that controls the loader movement there is a red button switch on the joystick. I`ve asked the dealer and looked through my manual but there`s no info on what it does? Any info would be greatly appreciated, curious as to what it is used for? thank you for your help!

Sometimes the red button is on a joystick if the FEL has a 4in1 bucket, you push the red button and move the joystick right or left to open and close the bucket. It could be on yours for the furture use of a 4in1 or the previous owner had the 4in1 bucket removed.

Hi Eric, It came with the quick attach bucket no 4 way bucket. Do the extra hoses come off of the front power valve to control the extra movement of the 4 in 1. If that`s the case it would be easier to use that function to use for a snowplow to angle? right now we use the 3 function remote in the back. I enclosed a picture in the original post. With all the 4 hoses hooked up for the FEL there`s still 2 at the bottom that are free. Do you think these are for the 4 in 1 button?

Sure the extra two valves can be used for a 4in1 bucket OR for a snow plow if you so choose to place either on the loader arms.

Thank you Eric,

Atleast I know what the button is for. But the picture in my post we don`t have anything connected to it. The loader has it`s own block of hydraulic connections. Not sure how this one works? It looks like nobody has even used it.. WE`LL have to play around with it and see how it works.

thank you again for your feedback!

So Cal
I have that control. It is for the 4 in 1 bucket control. Depressing the button makes the jaws of the bucket move when the joystick is moved. My reason for looking for info about the button is that it has fallen off. the dealer says I can buy one for $25. this is a 3 mm ID/ 4mm OD plastic red button cap. There must be a better alternative than a few stick-on felt pads or $25? the entire mechanism, I think they said was either $100 or $150. Any sources of a little plastic button cap?
