I have an L4400. Is it a good idea to attach a loader to it and use it for moving my firewood boxes. I currently use a Mustang 940e skid steer to move them around but I'm having problems with it and am considering getting rid of it and am hoping that the 4400 is up to the task. The boxes are made out of regular sized wooden pallets. I once weighed a full box of seasoned wood and it weighed approx 1000lbs. That was after 6 months of seasoning. When the firewood is first processed I guess a box could weigh up to 1400lbs.

I move and load round bales of hay with my L 3000 with out much trouble. I have a steel shooting table that goes about 950 lbs and I can move it fine. I would say your 4400 should be fine with the weight you listed.

I can't imagine a problem either - only thing I would add is that's heavy enough I'd certainly feel better with at min. filled rears or rear weights. Make sure the fronts are pressured up properly.

Your loader should have a number on it - for instance: LA525 means it has a capacity of 2.2 x the number on the loader. In this case, it has a capacity of 525 x 2.2 or 1153 lbs.
