Does it feel pretty stable carrying a load with the grapple? I'm looking to get a 50 or 54 inch. Picture would be awesome when you get time.
Depends on the size of the log. I'm normally going to be moving about 6' long logs so for that, yes. I've picked a couple 15-20 foot logs and you really better grab the middle. Makes your tractor want to rock and tip quickly. I definitely suggest the ROPS up, I'm going to wear my seatbelt too. extra weight on the tractor, box blade or something substantial behind you. My box blade is only about 300-350 lbs and I'm planning to build a little box on top of it to put a couple of sacks of concrete.

I don't have a pic host so pics may be a challenge for me.

ezlife45,
How is the grapple? Working well for you. Can not remember if you got 50" or 54". Looking at Everything Attachments as from what I have read they are one of the best

The thing is pretty good. I do have to say that Everything Attachments sent me some hoses that were just a tad short. When I would curl the bucket down, the hoses would get tight. They were good sports about it though. Told me to take measurements, and call them back, they sent me new hoses by the end of the week. I now have to return the original hoses. I probably made the new ones a little too long, but I rather slightly long hoses instead of short hoses.

Had my first mishap yesterday too. Not certain how I did this, but somehow one of the quick releases (the spring loaded pins) popped out. When this happened I bent one of the two "hands" that hold on to the back of the skid steer implement. You could not reattach the implement.

Took a break, fretting about how I'm ever going to attach implements etc, then put the grapple on the front and pushed against a tree. Sure I was then able to attach it, but this still wasn't good enough. After running around like a kid that just dropped his new cookie, I thought I could put that one little "hand" against the tree, and bend it back. The 1" pipe that joins the two hands together twisted a little, and didn't take much to straighten out. I was fretting that I would have to cut welds, weld, repaint etc. Now I have it straight enough that I can install and remove my implements.

Otherwise, I really like the grapple. For the size of my tractor the 50" works just fine. Actually the opening could be a little bit smaller. I put together some lumber and steel to add more weight to my box blade and it helped a little bit too. In a few weeks I'll be going with water in the tires but my current project should be over by then.

It sucks when you 'break" a new toy. I am glad it has been good working with. Thanks for the hose tip. I saw the last post about being short, when I order I will mention that. Any other issues or concerns you have? I hear goof things about the company. Heard that Land Pride would cost about $1,900

I made a weight box out of 2x12. Made a box and had some larger steel plate I used on the sides, then took a threaded rod for the lower rods of the three point. If I find pic I will send it. For weight I used patio blocks, the one you use 12"x12" weigh about 37-40#. I know I fit about 5-6 of them. Not tons of weight but did the trick. One thing I learned was that the threaded rod is not strong enough, bent it in a v shape. So use a heavier duty rod.
