Last week I replaced All the lights on my tractor and led bulbs. Everything worked great then all of a sudden it all stopped. Now my hourmeter, lights and glow plugs don't work.

Any advice what to look for? I can't seem to find any fuses.

What machine we talking about? Hourmeter is hooked straight to switch on most older unit - turn the key and it ticks.

A fuseable link somewhere in the main hot side perhaps?

Does starter motor engage?

Older b7100

Yes, my hourmeter used to tick as soon as the switch was turned to the on position. The starter motor engages but nothing on the dash side works (lights, hourmeter, glowplugs)

I can't seem to find any fuses or fusable links

This is what a fusible link looks like on an older machine. A loop of wire, which is the fusible link, with a plug in connector. It will be where the starter cable attaches to the starter or very close by.

When it blows, the change in appearance is very subtle. The wire loop will melt leaving the insulation in place. Remove it and then check it with a test light or multimeter for continuity. Don't blow it with your testing if you are unsure how to test it, plse ask.

Knowing what model of tractor you have can get you more relevant information from this forum.
Putting your location in your profile can help as someone with more knowledge might live close by and can make a house call.

Have you checked the 3A inline fuse? That will trace from AC on the back of the switch to the hour meter.

Many kubota parts sites list a fuse as #30 in the parts illustration for part #66591-55520. About $7.

None of these sites has a photo of the fuse but it is in the area of the dash.

A fuse for $7 seems like it is not going to be plain old automotive glass fuse.

On one older tractor I got involved in, the fuses were actually small wires between two screw on terminals on a fuse block although if you did not realize it you would just think it was some sort of electrical junction block.

I cannot find a picture right now of the old fuse block.
Why not post some pictures of the starter side of your tractor and also the under dash area.

I'm sorry for the multiple posts in haste. Thanks for your input. I was able to change the fuses and change them. It fixed the hazards. The hourmeter, glow plugs and the rest of the lights don't work. Fuse replaced, switch has continuity. Where do I look now?

So, I bypassed the driving light switch. Ran a new switch, lights are working, signals worked after I replaced the fuses.

Still no glow plugs.

You have not found all the fuses yet.

From the factory, Kubota would not have installed both white and black fuse holders. Further, what you have in your hand may be replacing the original stuff some of which may still be in use and working and look different.

Photos of under the dash and around the starter plse.

Please remind me of your tractor as it is not in your profile. B7100?.

Whatever your tractor is, you should add it to your profile to help others like me know what machine we are now directing our attention to.

Often I might be helping several people and the machines all start to mix up

I know I asked you for photos and thank you for providing them

In this photo the first thing that jumps out at me is the blue wire and the blue and red wire both with open terminals beside each other. I am wondering if they should be plugged together.

If one has a male end and the other a female that would be a big clue.

Thanks dave. It is an old B7100. The other half of that fuse holder is not there. Although it wasn't there when everything worked either. I will investigate the ends as soon as I am home.

Thanks for the reply

When you turn your ignition switch counter-clock wise, and hold it for a few seconds, does your glow plug indicator glow...indicating it's hot? If that's open then no current can get to your glow plugs. Might put a volt meter on it and see what you find.

When i turn the ignition switch counter clockwise the indicator Does not glow. I was testing the nodes in there the other night and I grounded out and blew that element. Ordered a new one yesterday at the local dealer.
