Hi all I hope this will be of help to anyone who finds themselves in the unhelpful kubota dealers in the uk.My lift arm on a B6100 year??? Stripped the splines on rh side .after all the usual searches turned nothing I went in person to 2 kubota dealers who both looked on the parts computer and told me lift arm is obsolete!

Ok I said what else will fit? Both replied don't know can't help. No recommendations for tractor breakers or kubota hoarders just shrugged shoulders.

Lucky I am a engineer and won't take no for an answer I managed to examine a B6200 and B7200 identical to the B6100 and B7100 lift arms just a different part no so I ordered one from eBay it fits and I'm able to use the tractor again.

Kubota evidently does a poor job for their dealers, when it comes to parts information. I'd think that almost any arm that fits the spline shaft would work (although you might have to buy both sides), but they don't specify that in the parts description. The dealer doesn't have a parts cross-reference.
This goes all the way to which buckets fit on what front loaders, etc. Poorly done.
My old Howard Rotovator listed ID, OD and width for every bearing and seal, shaft diameters for shafts and gears, and so on. Kubota says "bearing", or "shaft" - not a lot of information. They could learn something from them...

My beef with the dealers is that hardworking people shouldn't be messed around by (Saturday boys) ie youngsters who are not familiar with the product!

The old guys in dirty coveralls are nearly all gone and their amazing knowledge will go with them! Apprenticeships are our only hope!

I find that if i dont like what the counter guy says, then i'll see if i can get their senior mechanic involved. Especially if it's someone with little experience running the counter. If the service counter guy was worth anything he would have involved the mechanic to see if they could fix you up with a solution instead of saying sorry bout your luck. Theres always the option of going out in the parking lot and comparing your good part to a newer unit similar in size. Like the other gentlemen said, you may have to buy both sides but atleast your not having to jump through hoops to get a fix :)

Well its pretty much the same in any parts store, go get a part for your Chevy truck, same part off a GMC will work, and they might have the GMC part but not your Chevy part, same part different part numbers and no cross ref. You really cant blame the kids on this one, a lot of the old timers wont pass along any information cause they are afraid the kid will take their jobs, and a lot of kids wont ask simply because they are there long enough to move on to something else and don't give a rip. It would be great if companies would come up with a cross ref for stuff, but Im thinking it would cut in to profits, and that can never happen
