I have a ZG 23 with a 50" three blade deck. Recently it has been leaving a strip of grass between the left and center blade. I just had the belt replaced and I have two sets of blades that I sharpen and change often. Any ideas? Adjustments? Thank you in advance for your advice and for offering this wonderful forum. Craig

A few things come to mind:
1. The blades are getting wore down and are too short.
2. A blade is bent, twisted, tip is broke off or dull.
3. The belt is loose.
4. On some Kubota mowers, the blades have to be "timed". That is, each blade has to be oriented a certain way when the belt is installed and tightened. Your owners manual will show the proper orientation.
It could be any of the above, a combination thereof or something else altogether, but these are the things I'd check first.

How much have they been ground down?
I do the same as you, have 2 or more sets of blades and periodically change them and sharpen them. At some point, I have sharpened them enough that when turning I start to leave a row of uncut grass.
For me, the solution is simple. Replace the blades with new ones and the problem is solved. Add the old blades to the scrap pile to be repurposed on some future project.

Check tire pressure all the way around. Something similar happens to me from time to time with my Toro walkbehind. The tire goes flat and to look at it seems like its fine and holding air until you start to cut grass and it botches up the lawn. Sometimes it'll leave uncut grass behind.
I've seen this as a symptom of a bad bearing in the spindle. It can also be caused by a belt that is slipping. The only way to really tell what is going on is to just dive in and start trouble shooting everything... As my Dad always said, "Try the easy and simple things first, then move to the difficult expensive things last."...
