I just bought a used finish mower to go on the back of my used LX2610. The videos of the new mowers (same model) show the attachment points with two bolts with the rear one loose for ease in hookup to the 3PH. Mine has two bolts that are currently fixed. The rear bolt hole is slotted. Should/can I loosen this one?

Yes. This allows the mower a greater range of float. If you use a Quick Hitch, you can hold the arms up (once the rear bolts are loose) with a bungee cord to aid in connection. Also with a quick hitch, you will need to use the float/pivot plates (not the hook) to make the top link connection.
