land pride rcr1542 driveline length question

When I ordered it the salesman asked what machine it was going on so that the cutter could be setup (b2601). When my wife went to pick up the cutter the loader didn't know anything about setting it up and only knew to grab it. Said he would need to know what it is going on so my wife told him but he kept responding he was only told to grab the machine. I called the salesman and he said because I have a b series the driveline doesn't need to be cut. Can someone with more knowledge tell me what the deal is?
