Hi all,

Looking for some advice on my Land Pride implements. I want to make sure the right gearbox oil level is in them (RCR1860 and FDR1660). I can easily remove the top gearbox plug, and it looks to be right. But it says I can make sure by removing the side gearbox plug and make sure the oil is just below the plug hole.

That’s where I’m having my issue. The side plug has threads on the outside but not bolt head. It’s just a bolt and an indentation where the head is supposed to be, almost like a ratchet is supposed to go in there. I tried grabbing the exposed threads with an adjustable wrench, but couldn’t get it to loosen. Does anyone know how to remove this plug?

I figured it out. A hex wrench works!

Picture? Does a ratchet, without socket, not work?
Sorry for the bother. It was a hex wrench. A #7 or #8. I’ll leave this thread in case future folks have the same question.

The very first time one attempts to do something new is always a learning experience.
Glad you figured it out.
