Near where I live, the K1 kerosene is more expensive than the diesel. Both are dispensed by a fuel dispensing pump and both have road tax included in the price.
K1 kerosene is going for $6 per gallon here. I have a couple of kerosene heaters, a 10K & a 24K BTU/hr. Have several bottles of lamp oil from Y2K prep.
Refill your lamps and keep them ready for a blackout with Ultra-Pure Paraffin Lamp Oil. This clear formula oil is sootless, smokeless, and odorless so you can use it almost anywhere. Keep this on hand for outdoor excursions or to fill up an old lamp!
Yep it aint cheap no more, around here they use to sell K1, and about 3 years ago all the stations around here stopped, and converted the pumps back to OR diesel. I guess they didnt sell enough of it to keep it on hand.
