Stud on the ball joint (70) broke off in the block (112) I ordered parts but looking for anyone thats had this failure to offer advice on the repair process.

Hey Dan,
I had its cousin in my BH77 do something similar and was lucky in my case to get it out. If they’re gonna use excessive quantities of Loctite on the threads (was my case), sure wish they wouldn’t use chinesium in and around the Loctite. I saw both the red and the blue used in there on my BH linkages, unfortunately—but not until it was too late.

I was lucky that at about the 40 hour mark the heim joint stud simply unscrewed leaving no up and down on my 525 loader. I did have to remove the black plastic cover, I think about 5 bolts from the underside . At first I think I removed the black lockout knob but discovered that the plastic was flexible enough that I could leave it on and pull it over the knob.
Total time for removing the cover, and screwing the stud back in etc was less than 1/2 hour. I would think replacing the heim joint and block would not add more than another 1/2 hour. If memory serves me everything was easy to get to once the cover is off.

Thank you. The broken end on the stud is still in the block and gettimg it out may be a struggle. So I ordered the joint, block, and bushing but the block was not in stock so it will be a while. Looks like its down for at least a week if not two.
Kubota really screwed the pooch on these joysticks....

I seem to remember a few other folks having the same issue with either the heim unscrewing like what happened to me, or breaking like yours.
I was about 20 acres out from my wheelchair when mine fell apart and remember driving back to my chair in reverse the whole way due to the loader arms being all the way down with no way to raise it.
I am sure once you receive the parts it will be back up and working in no time!
In my case I have mandatory medical appointments in Baltimore which is 60 miles away. If it snows i have no way to plow and my lane may be impassable. Considering some emergency work aroundsI seem to remember a few other folks having the same issue with either the heim unscrewing like what happened to me, or breaking like yours.

With the cover left off could you remove the heim joint and rig up a T handle with female threads that would replace the joint? Your joystick still works for the curl function? Or are you more thinking of calling in the reserves (neighbor etc) to plow for you this time?
Thinking about swapping bucket and boom couplers. That way if need be we can push snow with the bucket. I also ordered the back blade I had planned to buy prior to getting the unexpected surgery call. Also have two spare ports on an aux valve that I may be able to cobble together. Awkward to use but functional.

take a magnet to #130 and #020 ( the bushings), bet they're steel.Should be bronze....
in my case, #010 pin broke off bar.....
I now spray semithickish oil over everything joystick related. if it move, it get sprayed ! My guess is rust forms and 'welds' the parts together when not used every day.

Its a threaded steel stud and it sheared off in a threaded steel block. Nothing to do with bushings or lubrication.

oh I know what it is, just hard to imagine it could break unless either defective steel or under a helluva lotta stress
