I got my new spool valve and installed it. I got the same result. The boom will go up and down and the bucket started to tilt up about six inches and then stopped. It did go back down but would not tilt up at all after that. I swapped the lines again with the same result. The bucket would tilt up and dump and the boom went up but would not go down.
I have no idea what to do. If no ones here has any ideas I will take it to the dealer.

I have two hydraulic cylinders that attach to my bucket, are they both used to control the bucket or is one for tilting the bucket up and one for dumping? Also is the hydraulic pressure greater for the boom than it is for the bucket?

The 2 cylinders are both used for roll as 2 are used for lift.
Lift and tilt are run at the same pressures.
Try swapping out the quick connects with the Lift lines and see if that helps.
It sounds like you have a blow set of seals.
After you try the disconnects and if that doesn't work, your going to need it disconnect the cylinders from the bucket and let them work free air and see what they do.

Sounds like an interesting problem... I will ask a good hyd guy I know Skipp44. Sounds like a strange one... When you try to curl the bucket does the pump labor, or is it like nothing has changed when you move the lever? Does the bucket even try to curl?

The bucket does start to curl, it will jump just a little. I believe the pump is trying, it sounds like when you turn your steering wheel all the way to one side and hold it.

Go and read my last post as a bad disconnect can cause the issues that your having.
You're working on a job of elimination of possible causes with this problem. ;)

It is fixed! When I assembled the valve the o-ring between the halves slipped. When reassembled with a new o-ring the bucket worked. Lesson learned, don't be in a hurry and check your work.

Thanks for all your help, the new spool valve was the right answer. Not sure why the rebuild didn't work but I do plan on having a friend magnaflux (sp) the valve body.
