Newbie question I have rebuilt the hydraulic rams on my LA 301 front mounted loader and I am still getting 1500 PSI gauge pressure which is way low. I have changed the pump and flushed the lines with new fluid but relief valve seems to be either stuck open or spring broken. Can someone help me by telling me where it is and how to check it ? Thanks

Check pressure ahead of the relief and then after.

There is no way your getting 3900 unless your dead heading the system!
Presumably he he is ahead of the primary system relief. Many (most?) small gear pumps are capable of producing that and higher in a controlled (throttled) test. In fact many are rated for continuous or intermittebt use at 3600 PSI. Simply gives the pump a clean bill of health.

I found out that my gauge is very screwed up and is showing way off and various readings within seconds of each reading. I have ordered a new one and will lay you know more when it comes in.
