L6070: L6832 CCV Kit?

Hello all, I am in the process of buying my forth Kubota tractor; a decked out L6070PRMC.

The dealer and I are having quite the ordeal getting it built. A number of options have long lead times that would put part availability to be December or later. I am not willing to wait that long.

One of the options I selected was the defogger kits. While the defogger glass is in-stock at warehouses, the defogger options are listed to require "L6832/CCV kit", and the Kubota told the dealer that L6832 has an ETA of December or January at this point.

What I am trying to decide is if I should go forward with the defogger glass install at time of purchase and self-install L6832 later, or skip the defogger options altogether if the install work related to L6832 is extensive. The issue is that I can find almost no information on what L6832 is or what is in it. I believe Messicks has a video out on these. Is that apart of the Nordic cold weather packages? Probably not needed in Texas.

I believe CCV is the crank case vent.

Everything I read is that "CCV" as in "Crank Case Ventilation" is misleading in this case. If you follow the link I provided above, none of the parts shown are part of a typical cold weather crank case ventilation setup. My dealer has questions out to Kubota to learn more since the70-series is new to them as well, but Kubota is in no hurry to help them. Took Kubota over a week to provide ETAs for dealer-installed options.

Kubota makes a durable tractor, but their documentation and support has always been less than stellar.

Just to close up this thread in case anyone else runs into the same confusion I did.

The L6832 option is indeed misnamed as a "CCV Kit".

It is more like a "CCV prerequisite" kit or in layman's terms, "large current draw prerequisite" kit. It consists of upgrading the 60A alternator to a 130A model, larger battery charging cable, new belt, and a few other things. For cold weather models, this option is needed for the electric heater that is installed in the crank case ventilation system to prevent ice build up, or if the defogger glass with electric heat elements is installed.

My plan is to go ahead and have the dealer install the defogger glass as part of putting in all the options fr the delivery next month, and I will install the bigger alternator later on whenever its available.

Do I need defogger glass? No. But I told the dealer I want every option available because I like buttons and switches.

I ask because the Kubota top & tilt set isn't really engineered for Kubota cat 1-2-size tractors and doesn't have any check valves, which are pretty much required with the Kubota rear remote valves.

I optioned with 3 rears with float detents along with T&T, because that's what I want for my use cases.
