I have my L6060 parked in our pole barn and occasionally have to move it out of the way to get to something else.(I know, should of built a bigger barn). My question is with the turbo, the manual says to let it idle for 3 to 6 minuets before shutting it down. I only need to run it for a minuet to move it, do I still need to let it idle or is this only after its been run at working RPM.
Thanks

No just shut it down. You only need a cool down if you have been running it hard. I just drive my m5 back to the barn slow an easy that way I don't need to cool it down.

Same. Running it a low RPM for a few minutes will cool it if you have been running it hard.

I do the same in my turbo diesel truck.

I believe the flow of engine oil keeps it lubed and cool during operation

Correct engine oil flow & air help cool turbo. When engine has run at top speed turbo is spinning very fast. Idling engine allows turbo to slow/cool down so it doesn't spin very long with ""no oil pressure"" after engine stops.
