Updating, I didn't find the full loader curve, but I found this copy of the loader manual: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/954577/Kubota-La555.html?page=16#manual

And on page 16 it says 2,400lb to to 1,500mm, which is 4.9 feet. That's pretty damn close to what you need, even if you allow 400lb for SSQA and forks.

For some reason I wasn’t able to see the last 3 posts but I think you are definitely on to something ! So I was talking about a 2000lb pallet With SSQA and forks. Ttl 2200 ! I put 5’ as a reference but 4’ will get it off of the deck of a trailer! Thank you Sir👍🏻

The green will lift it with ballast no problem at all! It’s not in their charts but it will definitely do it! Should it do it ? Probably not but I’ve seen it done on three different machines- I just don’t like the price or where a lot of their machines are made. I have switched my focus to a m7060 hdm . I don’t think I’m going to like the shuttle and the loader stick is a farther track with a longer throw but I’m going to go check a new one out tomorrow!
My point is that the green tractor you have looked at isn’t a direct comparison to the L6060. It may be the same hp, but not the same weight class. The 60hp M series Kubota will also lift that weight, but not a L series.

I've never owned a L6060 but I'm on my second MX series tractor and I unload and double stack 8 skids of Woodbricks every year with the MX tractor. Each skid has 1 ton of Woodbricks on it I never weighed them so I don't know the exact weight with the skid and stretch wrap on them. My forks weigh around 250lbs. and are 42" forks. I would think you should be able to do it with a L6060 as well. I have the tires filled and 3 sets of wheel weights plus I use a 1k 3 point ballast box on the tractor. I can tell it's at it's limit when handling the pallets but I've never had a skid it wouldn't lift or double stack since 2017 when I started burning the bricks instead of firewood.

I am definitely not promoting the green 4044r but this is the machine that best compares with the L6060! I understand different model comparisons but I’m pretty close to comparing apples to apples here! 🙂

I’m just saying that both of these machines Will lift more than their specs show. I was just looking for owners of the l6060 to voice up and tell the real life actions of these tractors! It’s not a trap, trick or anything else 👍🏻

I take very good care of my equipment but I get 110% out of them as safe as i can when or if I need to! I definitely do not want to break a tractor in half but like I stated in an earlier post these tractors are over built for that reason and so are the green ones! I have other Orange equipment and I have been more than pleased with them.

it would be the MX for me also but a broken ankle that never-healed correctly won’t allow me to work the treadle pedal. Your front tires offer a lot more stability but I’ve got that worked out for the L also ;)

I have been reading the La 1055 owners manual Loader. It has contradicting information about loader lift capacity. It will lift more than a ton as long as you don't lift it to full height.
Screenshot 2.jpg

But there is a safety sticker that states this.

Clear as mud.

The owners manual table matches the information in the sales brochure for 1055 and 1065 loaders. The sticker is simply a misprint.

The sticker looks to relate to the pallet fork attachment only, not the loader itself. If so, you could easily get stronger pallet forks.

Or you could decide that the pallet fork itself is pretty simple, and probably over engineered. I'd imagine someone making pallet forks would make them so that if the load rocked from side to side, that one tine/side could take the whole weight. So if you're going slowly/carefully and not rocking, it's likely that specification has 100% safety margin in it (i.e. each side can lift the full weight, so in total you can lift double the specified weight).

I'd personally do it, but everyone should make their own safety decisions.

I’m not arguing here but I’m just arguing 🙂
How do You Know the L won’t lift it? Do you have first hand knowledge of this?
I did go test out a brand new M6060 today but it’s just not the tractor for cyclical work! It would work me to death ! The reach to the lever is too far ( no , I don’t have TErex arms) the throw is stiff ! The l6060 will out right kick it’s bottom in loader, box blade work! I’ve reached out to people that own the l6060 and they have all said that the loader will definitely do what I want it to do and more! I guess I’m going to have to purchase one and make a video of it doing it! 🙂

Go for it. You asked the question and got a lot of responses from several people. My tractor is a bit more stout than the L and I repeated my experience. It’s right on the edge. Will it lift it: probably. To 5’? Not safely.

I’m just giving you a hard time and I certainly appreciate your information along with everyone else’s! My joking around can come around kind of persnickety but that’s definitely not my intention.

My read is that the owners manual says it'll do it. It's at the limit, so good ballasting, being careful etc are important. But in terms of the mechanical question "can it lift it" I think the answer is yes.

Yes Sir! Good level ground and keeping the load as low as possible at all times!(y)

So just to let anyone else know , the L6060 Will lift a 2K lb pallet of corn or whatever easily, ! Yes , you have to have ballast and it’s Always important to keep the load as low as possible but it will do it safely ! There, the question has Finally been answered 😉

Yes Sir I agree about the ballasts and have gone over the specs a ridiculous amount of times. When I ask about it the first thing they say is well( your going to need more ballasts if you do) lol! I understand it is beyond the specs so I’m guessing that’s why no one will answer my question. Thanks for your help Sir.
They won’t give you a straight answer because, according to the specs, it is “no” (unless they actually put in some thought) and they would rather you think it’s a mystery than tell what the specs say. As PaulL points out the full spec charts suggests “yes”!

The M6060 (or M7060) with the LA1154 FEL, it appears to be rated to do what you need. But as you mention, no hydrostatic transmission).

Based into chart PaulL linked, the L6060 should do what you need.

Happy shopping! Let you know what you end up with (I‘M pulling for the Orange 😁).

If you aren't going very far with your load, consider a compact track loader or skid steer. 1. It's so much easier to align your forks with the pallet. 2. Most CTL's over 50hp can lift 2000# without issue. 3. Once you get it lifted, it's much more stable to transport and drop exactly where you want it. I have a Kubota CTL 75 and a New Holland 80hp tractor and for anything approaching 2000#, I'm going to use the CTL unless I'm traveling more than 1/4 mile.

Huh?
Per Kubota specs., my (48HP) L48 will lift 3,000 lbs to full height "at the pin".
Certainly it will lift 2,000 lbs. on a pallet to 5'.

The L47 is a construction grade TLB model, not like the standard L series. It probably should be in a different series.
