I have a L525 loader on my tractor. I want to switch it to skid steer quick connect. I have a couple of questions:
1. Should i get the L2230A from Kubota or but an aftermarket adapter
2. Should I cut and weld my existing bucket or buy a bucket set up for this?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Get the L2230A adapter, aftermarkets don't fit perfectly or without alterations.

You might be able to alter your bucket if you have the fabrication skills, but on most models the buckets are a completely different design between the pin on and SSQA and the back angle is wrong, so most times getting a SSQA bucket is a better choice.

I have a la680, have been thinking about the l2230 ssqa adapter. But my dealer has a l2216 in stock, supposed to fit a la525 loader. Do you know if this will fit the same as a l2230?

I wouldn't think it would be a strait bolt on, something has had to change, I just don't know what it is.

If you can either take in your tractor or just your bucket and see if it is the same dimensions that would help you out.

It really would be the first time kubota made 2 different parts that are actually the same dimensions.

What model tractor do you have?
I blindly said yes to get the LA2230A as that's what you stated you needed over aftermarket.
But the proper adapter for the L525 is a l2216 not the L2230A
