L4760 PTO won't disengage when shut off

I was mowing with the bushhog and when I shut off the PTO and idled it down it kept turning and would not disengage until I shut it off. It made some clanky gear noises for a second at shutoff. Haven't used the PTO since but everything else seems to work. Now what?

it is probably the pto solonoid

Thanks! looking around the rear and not spotting it. What am I looking for? Presumably a thingy with wires coming out of it somewhere on the transaxle?
