I have an L4760 HST and had my dealer install a third function kit (L2265). It has worked fine for the past 3 years and now all of a sudden the open/close button is coming apart from the joystick.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you have a suggested solution? I took it apart and put it back together but there seems to be something not supporting the button, it isn't obvious to me. The dealer I purchased from is no longer in business.

Busted joystick switches seem to be a common problem.

Messicks says they have thirteen L2265 kits in stock. Call them and see if they can help with a replacement switch. My guess is your wallet will get a pretty good ding....

Well you were right. When I called Messicks they told me the switch itself is not available. You can buy the whole joystick for $900. Apparently there is a new part number available as well for $371 but that is still $300 too much.

That's pretty bad of Kubota if there are lots of failures in the field. Mine lasted 3 years with 1 day per week usage.

Actually less helpful than expected. I expected they would have thenswitch at crazy price.

Its just a momentary switch and I am pretty sure a motivated individual could rig a replacement. Duct tape is amazingly versatile.

A really motivated individual might even be able to identify and source the switch Kubota or its supplier used. That has been the case with some of the other switches.

Or possibly just bite the bullet and buy an overpriced but less so aftermarket handle and replace the OEM one.
