need a little help please.

I have L4400D, not 100% sure the year, i think 2011. it had the newer radiator hoses, the over flow and water pump on it.

it seams to be getting hot, a lot of the time it run over 3/4 on the temp gauge, and even gets up into the red.

has good antifreeze water mixture 50/50, cleaned the screen in the front. even took the thermostat out (i know its not recommended) just to make sure it was not bad. belt it tight and the fan spins great.

any leads?

Cleaning the screen may not be enough. Might spray some cleaner on the radiator on the outside and behind the fan blades. Purple power, or simple green or your favorite, but let it soak for an or so then spray with the garden hose. Careful to not bend the fins.

You'll be surprised how much comes out. And these radiators are not oversized so they need to be CLEAN!

2nd on cleaning the radiator. I've got a L4400 also that I purchased from my son inlaw. I noticed it getting hot while bush hogging a little more than half way on the gauge. When I got home I pulled the battery and front off so I could see the radiator better and the bottom half behind the battery was stopped up. Cleaned it out now it runs about 1/4 the way gauge. Hope this helps.
