L4200 GST Cable broke

My L4200 GST is dead where it sits. Won't move. One of the GST cables broke and it won't shift. Question is, it is Sunday and can't figure out if I can replace the cable or assembly.

I think the bigger question should be why you think it's sunday... it's monday evening.

You will need to replace the entire cable assembly as it's not sold in individual pieces.

I took the lower shift off the trans so I could manually shift it and move it, turns 360, so no idea what gear I was in but it felt like 8th. Anyway, the cable sheath is there, cable broke. By looking at the bottom it is a plain cable. Haven't taken the upper shifter apart yet, but are you sure I couldn't fashion a replacement cable?

Yea I'm pretty sure making that cable is about impossible.
But please if possible prove me wrong, as that assembly is expensive!

Wish me luck! Got cable and clamps like the cable ends. Can a gst owner take a picture? The cables are different length. Sure suck to get it together and on and have it backwards!

Been all over to find the cableadjuuster, mine was broke. I know its slotted, but no reason that won't work. I was putting the upper shifter together last night and one stripped
(impact), got a couple grade 10 bolts and nuts. Not happening now! Used these cable clamps ground down and filled with solder.

Got it together. Needs adjustment but it got dark. The black sheath was ok, cable, a couple stops, cable adjustment bolt, a couple bolts and nu tr s and probably a good days work (after all the parts chasing). Grand total of about $20. Kubota can stick their 700 dollar assembly you know where
