I replaced a hydraulic hose on my L4200 which I don't think is related, but it's the last thing I did so I'm posting it here.
I started up the tractor normally, went to move some pallets of stuff. everything seems fine. I was lining up to pick up a pallet and not even moving when all of a sudden the engine bogged down, blew copious amounts of blue smoke out the exhaust, and slowly died.
I checked the fuel filter, which looked like it had a fair amount of water in it - milky stuff about halfway up the filter. I drained it, made sure I had good flow from the tank, and put it back together. It turns over fine, but won't start. No smoke, so because of the sudden failure I'm thinking a fuel or fuel delivery problem?
Other ideas?
I'm going to go out and pull a line off an injector to make sure I have fuel coming into the cylinder.
