gbjeffoh, I've been following this post for a while and got notified of your response today. Has yours been bothering for 3 or 4 years like mine has. They replaced my solenoid and it helped. If I idle the tractor down for about a minute it will shut down "most" times when I push the PTO button. Did removing the check valve fix yours 100%. And what is that unit the check vale is in?
I have not had any issues since I removed the check valve. I put about 300 hours a year on it. Maybe 150 using the PTO. It shuts off right away every time.

It is the PTO clutch solenoid valve.

It is on the RH side. Just a little farther back than the back of the fuel tank.

I pulled the fuel tank to get to it. You might not half to.

This should be a recall.

I just figured out Below serial 44944 has the check valve. Above does not.

Mine is a Gr L6060. should I start with a pressure test first. The dealer did a pressure test and said is was in specs. But my problem is the same as yours. The longer I run it with PTO on the more apt it is to not shut off when I disengage the pto switch. Sounds like the same problem just a different model tractor.
